Born in Saga Prefecture in 1940. A calligrapher and sculptor living in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka Prefecture. Chairman of the Genbi Shogei Institute, president of the monthly magazine Sho no Bi, and adviser of the Toyo Shogei Institute. Starting from Fukuoka, solo exhibitions and exchange exhibitions of calligraphy under the theme of "world peace through art" are held not only in Japan but also in the United States, France, Germany, Spain, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Venezuela, etc. , expand the performance. Received Fukuoka City Cultural Award in 2001 and Fukuoka Prefecture Regional Cultural Merit Award in 2018. While holding solo exhibitions around the world, he continues to perform in collaboration with musicians and collaborate with artists in other fields such as sculpture and ceramics.
